Cowlairs Festival

The community of Possilpark wanted to celebrate Cowlairs with a festival. Taking place in Summer 2023, the event included workshops, face painting and nature walks. To honour nature, a dead ash tree was carefully wrapped in rainbow yarn and carried in a procession along the restored ‘safe clean routes to school’. There was music, storytelling and performance along the way. The day ended with a community meal and disco at Possilpark Parish Church.
